Gallagher’s electrified fences keep Hazyview’s macadamia nuts and people safe

When Danie Janse van Rensburg started working on a macadamia nut farm in Hazyview, the farm was already secured with Gallagher’s electric fence solutions, and since then he says he has never looked back. Danie uses two of Gallagher’s MBS6500i Energizers.

These Energizers form part of the iSeries product range that provides more power to your fence. The MBS6500i also adjusts the voltage output of the wire to prevent fence faults.

The iSeries accessories give you 24/7 peace of mind by allowing you to constantly monitor and control your fence. The Gallagher AG Devices app also provides you with live data on your fence’s performance, notifies you if faults occur on your fence and allows you to turn the fence on or off.

The unit can be powered by any of three power methods. You can use your main power supply, batteries or solar power to power the Energizer.

“Our experience with Gallagher has been excellent,” says Danie. He believes there are improvements that can be made but is also very excited about the technological improvements that Gallagher is making.

“I would recommend Gallagher and their products to anyone who asks. We have about 16 km of fence and believe me it packs a punch,” says Danie with a laugh.

He remembers one specific case where the fences did its job. They have large dams on the farm and from time to time they have had petty theft. Since they have been using Gallagher’s electrified fence, their wires have not been cut or anything stolen.

“There was even an instance where we received a message about a voltage drop. We were able to chase the criminals down, and from then on, we have had no problems at all,” explains Danie.
